Paying It Foward
Jewel Designs makes it a point to give back to the community it serves by donating the creative teams' time, talent and resources; in both event planning and interior redesign/staging services. Our company has assisted organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the HOMES Ministry; a program which provides move-in-ready housing for previously homeless individuals and families, in conjunction with Metropolitan Ministries.

WOW! All I can say is WOW! Thank you for making this morning's Sanctuary groundbreaking so spectacular. There were signs in the units that thanked the HOMES Ministry, which should have read Jewel Designs! Julia, you have SUCH a gift for decorating! Today as I saw Blu and Cheyenne standing beside Mayor Iorio, Morris Hintzman and City Council Woman Linda Saul Sena, I realized this moment would not have been possible without your commitment to these families and making a difference in their lives. When they were down and out with no where to go, thinking no one cared - you gave them the gift of hope. You helped them believe in themselves again. I don't know how to ever thank you enough!"

HOMES Ministry
The company recently headed up a "Pay It Forward" project for a local Title One school. The Dickenson Elementary School Teachers' Lounge Extreme Makeover was a huge success; and an incredibly rewarding experience for our team!

The HOMES Ministry apartments are filled with everything an individual, or family, needs to make their new house a home. Each apartment is decorated and staged using only donated items provided by local businesses, parishioners, and the community. So, much thought goes into finding ways to utilize the items provided; coming up with creative alternatives and sometimes designing things from scratch; making certain it reflects the personality of the tenant(s).
